Remember last school year? How many times was your child “sick?” How many colds did he or she have? How many ear infections? How many sinus colds? How many throat infections? How many school days did they miss? How many days of work did you miss because they were sick?
You cannot solve a problem with the same level of thinking that existed when the problem occurred. If you want to solve a problem, you have to raise your level of thinking. Then, you also have to change your actions. The definition of insanity is: doing the same thing and expecting different results.
If your child has ear infections or colds and you give them medicine repeatedly, yet they still get the colds or ear infections over and over again, maybe it’s time to do something different. You keep giving them antibiotics, which clear the infection, yet within a short time, another infection appears. You can’t keep doing the same thing and expect different results. If you want different results, you have to take different actions. The colds or ear infections will stop when the child stops being fertile ground for infections to grow.
Vitamins, foods, or some exotic sounding juice from Tahiti are not the answer. If your car were not running well, you might put better fuel in it. Yet when it was still not running well, you’d get it tuned up. Do you know that your body can be tuned up? Do you know that your body does get “out of tune?” Even young children get “out of tune” and need a tune-up.
It’s amazing how often parents and people of all ages tell us that they feel better in all kinds of way and they don’t get sick as often or as severely as they once did. Think back to last school year. How many times did your child pick up “the bug” that was going around that week. The time to set things right to avoid repeated infections is now. Build resistance now and you’ll enjoy greater health.
