Pills to wake up, pills to go to sleep again. Pills to mask pain and lower your blood pressure. Pills to have sex, and another to prevent a family. Pills. Pills. Pills. A pill for this, and a pill for that.
Yet every day I hear the same people who take all of these pills tell me how much they hate taking pills. So why are you taking them? You have choices. You have options. You know you can choose to do something different.
Sorry if I seem harsh, I’m not trying to be a nice guy here (although I actually am a nice guy). Do you really mean it when you say you hate taking those pills? Do you really want to change? Do you really want to get healthy? I mean really truly healthy. Not this: “Oh I’m okay as long as I take my pills” kind of healthy. That’s not health, not even close to health. That’s just, “I’m really quite sick, but I don’t know it anymore because my pills are hiding the symptoms.”
Get real, health is an ongoing process. A journey. Health is not an end point or a static conditionor a destination that you can stay at. Health is having a body which is fluid, both physically and immunologically. That means that you adapt. Sometimes you have a fever or a cough or whatever, but your body defends itself, it heals, you adapt and you move on. Health has to be worked at.
Healing comes from within you. Health comes from within you. Do you really want to be healthy? Are you bold enough to change some old habits and do something different? Are you willing to do what it takes to change your own life and possibly that of your entire family? Maybe for generations to come?
A definition of insanity is: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Are you insane? Those pills will never cause health. They will alter or mask your symptoms while you continue to malfunction and become more sick on the inside, but you can’t feel it. I do not recommend or advocate that you just simply stop taking your medication. However, I do recommend and advocate that you begin to change your life, your habits, and your actions so that possibly you might not need your medication in the future.
